State Prosecutor has initiated investigations against J. J and M. J
Prishtina, 22nd of November 2015 – Basic Prosecution in Prizren, Serious Crimes Prosecution Department, has issued a Ruling on initiation of investigations against the defendants J. J. and M.J.
Following the Police searching in the border cross point in Vërmica, municipality of Prizren, in the vehicle of the defendants J. J and M. J. was found a quantity of narcotic substance from 16 kilograms.
The narcotics found in the possession of the defendants were packed in 30 packages (transparent plastic bags), doubted to be of marijuana type (16 kilograms and 290 grams), which were transported from Albania in Kosova, for the purposes of selling, distribution or for supplying other persons for selling the respective.
During the Police searching in the house of the defendant J.J. was also found a plastic bag filled with narcotic substance of marijuana type, in the quantity from 500 grams, which was confiscated by Police at the given site.
Thus, both defendants have committed the criminal offense ‘Unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and analogues’, as stipulated by Article 273, paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 31 of CC.
State Prosecutor has requested from the Pre-trial Judge of the Serious Crimes Department in the Basic Court, to impose detention on remand from 30 days.
