Chairman Hajdaraj: Joint projects and activities with the EU Office affect the advancement and strengthening of the rule of law in Kosovo

Prishtinë, 7 February 2024 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Ardian Hajdaraj, together with the Deputy Chairman of the KPC, Jehona Grantolli and the General Director of the KPC Secretariat, Sami Istrefi, held an introductory meeting with the Head of the Office of the European Union ( EU) in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, together with his collaborators.

During this meeting, Chairman Hajdaraj thanked the head of the EU, Szunyog, for the visit and the continuous engagement of the European Union Office in order to strengthen accountability, transparency and integrity in the prosecutorial system in Kosovo.

On this occasion, Hajdaraj said that the close cooperation and coordination of joint projects and activities with the EU Office will continue, in order to have the most efficient results in the advancement and strengthening of the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.  

The Head of the EU Office congratulated the Chairperson and the Deputy -Chairperson for their election at the head of the Prosecutorial Council, stressing that the coordination and implementation of joint projects aims to achieve the necessary progress in the prosecutorial system.

At the end of today's meeting, Hajdaraj and Szunyog expressed their willingness to achieve the greatest possible results through joint commitment that lead our country to advance on the path of European integration.
