The meeting with the motto "Moment of reflection of the institutional chain" is held as part of the week for the rights of crime victims
Ferizaj, 25 October 2022- Under the organization of the State Prosecutor's Office, today, in Ferizaj, a meeting was held within the framework of the week for the rights of crime victims, with the motto "Moment of reflection of the institutional chain”.
In this meeting led by the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, Mr. Shukri Jashari, also present were prosecutors from this prosecution, judges from the Basic Court in Ferizaj, representatives from the Kosovo Police in Ferizaj, officials from the Office for Victim Protection and Assistance (ZMNV), representatives from the Center for Social Work and civil society.
During this meeting, in his speech, the Chief Prosecutor Jashari emphasized that the week for the rights of crime victims aims to make the rights of crime victims, which are guaranteed by the constitution and legal acts, more vocal and emphasized that the Prosecutor of the State, over the years and continuously engaged with all the capacities available to protect and help these victims.
Also, Chief Prosecutor Jashari requested that these victims of crime be treated professionally while respecting their right to safety and dignity.
“Our focus always remains the criminal prosecution and the fair and timely punishment of the perpetrators of criminal offenses, in such a way as to restore the dignity of these victims and help them in their recovery" said Chief Prosecutor Jashari.
Meanwhile, the other attendees at this meeting, during their speech, mentioned the work of the relevant institutions that continues to be done in relation to the treatment of these cases.
Also, the challenges that are presented on a daily basis during the treatment of cases of this nature were discussed and there were various recommendations in order to improve and help the victims of crime.
At the end of the meeting, Chief Prosecutor Jashari thanked those present, mentioning the fact that the State Prosecutor offers continuous cooperation to all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and remains committed to fighting and preventing various criminal offenses.
