Seven suspects detained in connection with the “Brezovica” action
Ferizaj, September 21, 2022 - The Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj, informs the public that in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, the Directorate for the Investigation of Serious Crimes (DISC) in Prishtina, based on the Court Order issued by the Basic Court in Ferizaj to search houses and accompanying facilities, today, he carried out the “Brezovica” action, which is a continuation of previous cases, where, during this action, eleven (11) different locations were searched and raided, specifically eight (8) locations in the city of Prishtina, two (2) in Podujevë and one (1) in Fushë Kosovë, where seven (7) suspects have been arrested and the same, by decision of the State Prosecutor, have been detained for a duration of 48 hours, due to the suspicion of have committed the criminal offenses “Accepting bribes”, under article 421 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo “Giving a bribes”, under article 422, “Usury” under article 331 and “Trading in influence” under article 424 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
In addition, during this action, various material evidences have been seized, for which the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj will inform you in the future.
Regarding suspected persons, the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj, within the legal deadline, is expected to submit an application for imposing of the measure of detention in the Basic Court in Ferizaj.
