Advanced training of legal skills of prosecutors from the region of Mitrovica
Durrës, September 13, 2022 - The three-day training on advanced legal skills for Prosecutors from the Mitrovica region, supported by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), has begun, and in which even the Acting t Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi, the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica Ismet Ujkani, as well as the Prosecutors and staff of this Prosecution Office have attended.
In the training, the Acting Chief State Prosecutor Besim Kelmendi addressed an opening speech to the attendees, also thanked the OSCE for the continuous support given to the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica. According to Kelmendi, it is very important to stay together as professionals to fight criminals and criminal groups, and he ordered the prosecutors of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica to continue working independently and without influence. In addition, according to Kelmendi, the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica will have the support of the Chief State Prosecutor’s Office in carrying out daily tasks and commitments.
The Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica, Ismet Ujkani, has said that regardless of the conditions in which this prosecution works, thanking you for the commitment and cooperation between the Prosecutors and the Staff, the results of the work are good. According to Ujkani, this advanced training will contribute to the professional development of prosecutors, expanding the skills of prosecutors, as well as the professional relations among all employees in this institution.
The prosecutors of the Basic Prosecution of Mitrovica Naim Beka and Radica Milic are lecturing in this training as lecturers.
The training will cover Chapter XIV of the Code of Criminal Procedure - Alternative Procedure in the topic "Negotiation of the plea agreement", as well as Chapter XXI of the Criminal Code - Criminal offenses against marriage and the family, in the topic "Extramarital union with the person under the age of sixteen".
At the end of the three-day training, a summary of the discussions and conclusions of this training will be issued, which will help the prosecutors of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica in carrying out their daily work.
