Chief State Prosecutor Lumezi received in a meeting the representatives of the EUKOJUST project
Prishtina, April 4 2022 - The Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, received in a meeting the representatives ofthe EUKOJUST Project, led by the former Chief EULEX Prosecutor, Johannes Van Veerswijk, engaged as an expert in this project, accompanied by another expert, Cristian Nicoara.
Chief Prosecutor Lumezi and experts Veerswijk and Nicoara hadproductive discussions on the joint activities that have beenrealized so far and those that are expected to be realized withinthe EUKOJUST Project, which aim to improve the prosecutorialsystem, especially in advancing transparency. accountability andstrengthening the ethics of prosecutors.
They also exchanged views on strengthening the role andposition of prosecutors, as well as their profile in handlingcriminal cases.
Chief Prosecutor Lumezi praised the assistance of the EUKOJUST Project given to the State Prosecutor’s institution, in which case he expressed his readiness to deepen cooperationand partnership with the EUKOJUST project in the future.
