Detention on remand is requested against the defendant D.K., in the case of the murder of an 18-year-old girl in Ferizaj

Ferizaj, August 25, 2021- The Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, Department for Serious Crimes, has submitted an application for detention on remand before the Basic Court in Ferizaj, against the defendant D.K., due to reasonable suspicion that he has committed the criminal offense “Aggravated murder” under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

According to the application submitted by the Prosecution, there is a grounded suspicion that the defendant D.K., on 22 August 2021, exercised psychological and physical violence against the now deceased M.O., in this way committing the criminal offense “Aggravated Murder” under Article 173 paragraph 1 subparagraph 1.4 and 1.8 in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (CCRK).

Defendant D.K., by decision of the state prosecutor, was imposed the measure of 48 hours detention.
