The process of Functional Review of the Rule of Law Sector is discussed
Prishtina, November 30, 2020 - The Chairmen of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Bahri Hyseni and the Judicial Council, Skender Çoçaj, met with the Minister of Justice, Selim Selimi, where they discussed the steps towards finalizing the first draft of the Strategy emerging from the Rule of Law Functional Review process.
During this meeting, it was agreed that the teams of the Ministry of Justice and the two councils KPC and KJC, will meet to address the comments and finalize the recommendations included in the Strategy.
In this meeting, it was discussed to address the comments related to the finalization of the Draft Law on Commercial Court, as well as the necessary legislative changes to the prosecutorial system.
The chairmen of the KPC and the KJC expressed the readiness of both councils for cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, in order to address the challenges of the prosecutorial and judicial system through the process of functional review and advancement of legislation.
