ALEKSANDER LUMEZI IS SELECTED IN THE POST OF CHIEF STATE PROSECUTOR
Prishtina, 6th of June 2014 – There is held the next meeting of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, chaired by Chief State Prosecutor, simultaneously Head of the Council, Mr Ismet Kabashi.
In this meeting, in the post of Chief State Prosecutor was elected Mr Aleksandër Lumezi, who until now has held the position of the Chief Prosecutor of Appellate Prosecution. The elected Chief Prosecutor Aleksandër Lumezi has received four votes, versus the candidate Shyqyri Syla who has received three votes, whereas the candidate Jetish Maloku did not receive any vote.
Name of Aleksandër Lumezi will be sent to the President Atifete Jahjaga for decreeing. In the list for Chief State Prosecutor were Aleksandër Lumezi, Chief Prosecutor of the Appellate Prosecution, Shyqyri Syla Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica and Jetish Maloku Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution of Gjilan.
In this meeting was also taken the decision for compensation of Prosecutors and supporting staff for their work on the Parliamentary Election Day that will be held on 8th of June, 2014.
