NEXT MEETING OF KOSOVO PROSECUTORIAL COUNCIL IS HELD,9th OF SEPTEMBER 2014
Prishtina, 9th of september 2014 – There is held seventy-eighth meeting of Kosovo Prosecutorial council, chaired by Acting Chief State Prosecutor, simultaneously Head of the Council, Sylë Hoxha. During this meeting Prosecutorial Council has established the Committee in charge of appointing 18 candidates for Prosecutors throughout Basic Prosecutions, and the Council has also established the Committee in charge of appointing Prosecutors in the Office of Chief State Prosecutor and Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo. Prosecutorial Council has also changed the composition of the Committee in charge of normative acts, whilst it has reviewed and approved the proposition of the Committee in charge of evaluation of applications for the member of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council form civil society, in which case member of KPC from civil society is chosen Florent Muçaj, from the Institute for Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies. During the meeting was reviewed and approved the bi-annual report of Prosecutions Performance Assessment Unit, regarding the tracking mechanism for harmonization of statistical report related to characteristic criminal offences. Another topic of the agenda was discussion for accommodation of Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo in Palace of Justice. Prosecutorial Council has also taken decision on establishment of the Office for Information with the Public, within the Secretariat of the Office of Chief State Prosecutor; and appointment of the Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council. Whereas, there was decided to transfer Prosecutor Elez Blakaj from the General Department of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina in the Serious Crimes Prosecution Department of the same Basic Prosecution.
