NEXT MEETING OF KOSOVO PROSECUTORIAL COUNCIL IS HELD
Prishtina, 24th of December, 2014 – There is held the eighty-fourth meeting of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, chaired by the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, simultaneously Acting Head of the Council, Sylë Hoxha.
During this meeting, Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has reviewed and approved the KPC Action Plan for year 2015.
KPC has also reviewed the request of the National Coordinator in charge of fighting economic crime, for delegating staff to his Office. But, KPC has suggested that the request of the Coordinator shall be submitted for the review and approval to the Committee in charge of Normative Acts, before submitting it to the Council, and afterwards to take the decision if such request shall be accepted or not.
Members of Prosecutorial Council were informed that in January, 2015 will be held the Annual Conference of Kosovo Prosecutors.
KPC has also approved the proposition for discharge of Prosecutor, Zejnel Kodra, due to the retirement.
Prosecutorial Council has also assigned today Besim Kusari and Lindita Mehmeti, in the position of Secretaries for the Disciplinary Committee and Committee for Prosecutors` Performance Assessment.
Prosecutorial Council has reviewed and approved the report of the Appellate Prosecution related to the implementation of the Action Plan for increasing the effectiveness of the prosecutorial system in the fight against corruption.
Another topic of the agenda was also the request for approval of the appointment of the EULEX Prosecutor, Paskal Kaell, which was approved by Prosecutorial Council.
Whereas, Council did not approve the request of the Manager of the Office for Training, Sylejman Sopa.
During today`s meeting there was also established the Panel of KPC for preliminary review for the position of Chief State Prosecutor, as well as establishment of the Committee for Reconsideration for the position of Chief State Prosecutor.
Prosecutorial Council has made the supplementing/amendment of the Committee for Reconsideration for Prosecutors throughout Kosova Basic Prosecutions.
There is worth of emphasizing that during today`s meeting of KPC was approved the PPAU Report regarding the implementation of the Action Plan for year 2014, as well as the Action Plan for year 2015.
KPC has approved the request of Prosecutor, Agron Uka, for being allowed to lecture in a private University.
