Donor Coordination Meeting is held

Pristina, April 4th 2019- The chairperson of KPC, Bahri Hyseni, held a co-ordination meeting with representatives of embassies in Kosovo, the EU office, various organizations and projects supporting the prosecutorial system, this meeting, in which was discussed the possibilities of supporting objectives for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of this system.

Initially, the chairperson of the Prosecutorial Council, Bahri Hyseni, has informed the representatives of international partners for major developments in the prosecutorial system, focusing mainly on the strategic objectives deriving from the Strategic Plan for 2019-2021 and the annual work plans, in which case he highlighted the need for further support from donors, as has been done so far. "The benefit of your experience, expertise and support is irreplaceable because we have had a very positive impact on the dynamics of the work of the Council and the State Prosecutor's Office," said Hyseni.

On the other hand, donor representatives highly praised the initiative of KPC for donor coordination and discussed the projects that they have implemented and are underway, expressing their readiness to continue supporting the projects through the different projects.

Following this meeting, the Director of the KPC Secretariat Lavdim Krasniqi presented project proposals specifying the specific objectives, expected results, the activities that should be undertaken and the benefits that the prosecutorial system will have from their implementation.

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the State Prosecutor aims to strengthen the criteria, values and the highest standards of work through the implementation of donor support, while the proposed support projects have to do with the digitalization of the work process, the registration of old cases at work, infrastructure, increasing the public confidence in the prosecutorial system, capacity building of Council committees and staff, management of personal files of prosecutors, advancement of physical infrastructure, security system and information technology.
