Chairman Hajdaraj: The implementation of such projects with global dimensions is necessary for criminal justice in our society

The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Ardian Hajdaraj, accompanied by the Chairman of the Commission for Normative Issues, Mr. Armend Zenelaj, hosted the representatives of the Project "Sustainable Solutions in Criminal Justice - SCJS", Mr. Essie Adair and Mr Chris Reid. These experts from Northern Ireland in the field of organized crime were accompanied by the Officer for the implementation of policies in the rule of law sector at the British Embassy, Mrs. Altina Besimi and the local expert, Mr. Ardian Bajraktari.
As stated at the beginning of the meeting, the British experts, Mr. Adair and Mr. Reid, are committed to advancing the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of criminal justice systems at the global level, while the purpose of today's meeting was to discuss the objectives of the project, anticipated actions during 2024 and expected results after its implementation.
The Chairman of the Prosecutorial Council, Ardian Hajdaraj, thanked the experts for their concrete commitment and informed them about the current achievements and challenges in the prosecutorial system, as well as about the plan for drafting by-laws derived from the new laws and the possibility of support through their expertise. “I believe that the implementation of such projects of global proportions is necessary for criminal justice in our society”, said Mr. Hajdaraj on this occasion.
On the other hand, Mr. Essie Adair, thanked the Chairman of the KPC for the reception and confirmed the commitment of the project team that will be implemented through support and organization of activities.
Mr. Hajdaraj and the British experts have agreed to intensify joint activities, in order to exchange experiences and global best practices, which strengthen criminal justice and generally the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
