Ongoing commitment to dealing with corruption and economic crimes is required
Prishtinë, 29 June 2022 – In the framework of the commitments for monitoring the implementation of the Strategy of the prosecutorial system (2022-2024) and the Action Plan, the Supervisory Commission for Cases of Corruption and Economic Crimes, led by the prosecutor Veton Shabani, together with the member of this commission, the prosecutor Arben Ismajli, visited today the Basic Prosecution of Gjilan.
In this case, it was discussed about the cases of corruption and economic crimes, their treatment and the various challenges that arise in the way forward for this prosecution.
During the meeting, this Commission, despite the results achieved in this prosecution, which are quite satisfactory, requested a continuous commitment in handling these cases, although the number of prosecutors is not sufficient.
