The coordination of the activities of the British project for the strengthening of the prosecutorial system is discussed

Prishtina, 9 February 2021 - The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Jetish Maloku, accompanied by the Director of the KPC Secretariat, Lavdim Krasniqi, received in a meeting the Director of the British Project "Strengthening the judicial system in Kosovo", Kan Taylor and Institutional Development expert, David Wells.

The purpose of this meeting was to inform each other about the further implementation of this important project and to assess the progress achieved, as well as the coordination of future activities that will take place in the framework of strengthening the capacity of the prosecutorial system.

On this occasion, Chairman Maloku thanked the representatives of the British project for the continued support for capacity building and quality of services provided by the Kosovo prosecutorial system. "On this occasion, I express my readiness for close cooperation and, of course, that in our full attention will be the common priorities for the professional empowerment of the administrative sectors of the KPC and the State Prosecutor", said Chairman Maloku.   

The representatives of this project informed the Chairman of the KPC regarding the Concept Document for the reform of the administration of the prosecutorial system and confirmed the professional support for the drafting of bylaws and the increase of the administrative capacities of the prosecutorial system.

The interlocutors agreed to jointly identify various issues and challenges that the Council and the State Prosecutor will face, in order to harmonize and coordinate future actions to address them effectively.
