The Acting Chief State Prosecutor held a meeting with the Collegium of Prosecutors of the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor and Chief Prosecutors of Prosecution Offices of the Republic of Kosovo
Prishtina, 16 May 2022 - The Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi, held a meeting of the Collegium with all Chief Prosecutors of Basic Prosecutions, Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution and Chief Prosecutor of the Appellate Prosecution, where the Prosecutors of the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor were also present, who monitor respective Prosecution Offices.
At the beginning of the meeting, Acting Chief Prosecutor Kelmendi was interested in the situation in each Prosecution Office, where he was closely informed by the Chief Prosecutors about the number of prosecutors in the Prosecutions they lead, the results, achievements, challenges and other important issues.
During the joint discussions, the need to fill the positions assigned to new prosecutors was emphasized, as well as the recruitment of supporting staff in order to advance the efficiency and effectiveness in handling criminal cases in each prosecutor's office.
Also, an essential part of this meeting was the discussion regarding the increase of efficiency and the most unique implementation of practices in the treatment of criminal registers, respectively criminal cases with PP, PPN and PPP by Prosecutors, and the handling of complaints submitted by citizens according to legal deadlines for disciplinary cases against Prosecutors.
At the end of the meeting, the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi, has offered close cooperation to all Chief Prosecutors in addressing and overcoming all institutional challenges
