The prosecutorial system for respecting gender equality, inclusion, diversity and equal representation is highly valued

Prishtinë, 22 December 2021 – The Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Jetish Maloku, the Deputy Chairman, members of the Council, the Deputy Chief State Prosecutor, U.D. of the General Director of the KPC Secretariat and administration officials, participated in the presentation of the Report "Assessment of institutional involvement in the gender and social aspect of the Kosovo Prosecution Offices", drafted by "Axiom International Ltd" with the support of the Project "Strengthening the justice system in Kosovo", funded by the Government of the United Kingdom.

After the presentation of this report, made by the representative of the Project of the Embassy of Great Britain, David Wells, Chairman Maloku, said that he is happy that today a report is being presented, in which the institutions of the prosecutorial system - Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and State Prosecutor, are highly rated in terms of gender equality, inclusion, diversity and equal representation.

Further, Chairman Maloku, said that despite the inclusion of advanced measures in our internal bylaws and that present us as an exemplary institution in gender advancement, we will continue to work further in strengthening and promoting gender equality, inclusion, diversity and equal representation.

Regarding the findings of this report that the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the State Prosecutor list as institutions that have been constantly in cohesion with the completion of legal and sub-legal changes, which regulate the field of gender equality, but also for the recommendations arising from this report, have spoken the Deputy Chief State Prosecutor, Sevdije Morina and Acting General Director of the Secretariat of the KPC, Valdrin Krasniqi.
